The cosmetic form of botulinum toxin, sometimes referred to as "Botox" by patients, is a popular injectable that temporarily reduces or eliminates facial fine lines and wrinkles. The most commonly treated areas are frown lines, forehead creases and crow's feet near the eyes. Several other areas have been treated such as thick bands in the neck, thick jaw muscles, lip lines and gummy smiles.

ALLUZIENCE - BOCOUTURE - DYSPORT
ALLUZIENCE®
Alluzience is an advanced botulinum toxin-a new wrinkle-relaxing injection launched in 2023. This innovative injection, which is the very first ready-to-use liquid neurotoxin, is used to smooth stubborn upper facial lines and folds, which include improving the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines (vertical lines between the eyebrows), otherwise known as frown lines. Unlike other type A (BoNT-A) products that require dilution with sodium chloride before they can be used, Alluzience allows for more precision with safe dosage accuracy because it doesn’t require any calculations. It is also free from human and animal-derived proteins such as human serum albumin and lactose because it is produced with novel production technologies.
HOW DOES ALLUZIENCE WORK?
Alluzience injections are aesthetic medicines that stop the contraction of targeted muscles by blocking the transport of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine across the neuromuscular junction, located between the nerve end and the muscle fibre.
Unlike other standard botulinum toxin brands, which take about 7-14 days to have visible effects, Alluzience kick-starts work as soon as 24 hours after injection. For the lasting span, Alluzience lasts up to 6 months before a patient would be due for another session. This is another benefit it has over other botulinum toxins, as they last only three to four months before another session.
BOCOUTURE®
Bocouture® is a very safe type of botulinum toxin since it is one of the purest forms available, which means that it is suitable for use in patients that have drug allergies. Another advantage of Bocouture® is that it is the only type of botulinum toxin that is stable at room temeprature (other types of botulinum toxin are sensitive to destablization outside the fridge), which makes it very favorable for use in warm countries, such as Greece.
Botulinum toxin type A is very safe, without long-term side effects. Some wrinkles in your face are caused by repeated muscular movements, such as frown lines, forehead wrinkles and crow’s feet. These wrinkles and lines can be treated using Bocouture®. This advanced form of botulinum toxin weakens the activity of the muscular groups causing the wrinkles so that they soften or fade. For many people, this means that they look less stern or grumpy. Lesser-known purposes for which Bocouture® is used include lifting eyebrows and mouth corners, and reducing chin dimples.
Bocouture® is also used for treating gummy smiles and nasal folds from laughing. The effect in the face lasts initially four to six months. Bocouture® is also used to effectively treat excessive perspiration in your armpits or hands. The effect of a Bocouture® treatment in these areas lasts between six and twelve months.
Other ways in which Bocouture® is used are medically indicated, such as reducing tension headaches, migraines or teeth grinding.
DYSPORT®
Dysport (abobotulinumtoxin A) is an injection for wrinkle treatment. This noninvasive procedure temporarily decreases muscle movement in the target areas to soften the appearance of glabellar lines, the vertical wrinkles most prominent on your forehead in between your eyebrows. It’s also sometimes used for certain medical conditions.
Dysport was originally approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2009. Many people find the effect of Dysport to be more pronounced compared to that of other botulinum products, and therefore, prefer this treatment.
Neuromodulators like Dysport reduce the appearance of facial lines by relaxing and limiting the movement of muscles around the injection site. Your doctor injects a small amount of the substance directly into your muscle. As your muscles relax, the skin above them becomes smoother, thereby reducing wrinkles. It’s important to note that these effects are only temporary.
Decreasing movement is meant to prevent the formation or deepening of wrinkles, which are caused by repetitive movement over time, along with heredity and aging.
NEUROTOXIN TREATMENT
An injection treatment with Botulinum Toxin takes approximately 20 minutes in the office, is very safe, and almost painless by applying topical numbing cream before treatment. You do not need to limit your daily activity directly after the procedure, just avoid heavy excercise and bending of the head.
The doctor will inject the product directly under the surface of the skin, onto the muscle layer, Results will become visible after 4-5 days and improve within the following two weeks. The treatment will result in smoothing the wrinkles on the face and around the eyes. Botulinum Toxin can also be used to treat the neck bands and wrinkles, in combination with a mesotherapy protocol (Jallutox Therapy).
