ENHANCING FACIAL ANATOMY
Understanding facial anatomy requires both theoretical and practical knowledge, as the geometry of the face is defined by multiple measurement ratios between areas, and differs significantly between individuals. For example, the height of the cheekbones depends on the height of the lower third of the face, while chin projection depends on the length and size of the nose and lips. HYALURONIC ACID FILLERS
Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a natural substance found in our skin, which provides dermal hydration and volume. As we age, the rate of natural HA production in our skin diminishes, resulting in loss of volume and elasticity. By replenishing this lost HA, we can replenish facial volume in various areas of the face, such as cheekbones, nasolabial folds, the temples if there is hollowing, and the jawline. Furthermore, dark circles under the eyes and deep wrinkles around the mouth can be softened using special tear-trough HA fillers. HA fillers use a special type of hyaluronic acid called crosslinked HA, which allows for the HA molecules to stay locked into the injected site, thus maximizing their effect. It is thus possible to also enhance the volume of certain areas, such as the lips, the ckeebones and the chin in younger patients, who depite not having any loss of facial volume, wish for a more harmonious facial contour.
Dr. Ektor always uses the right type of filler for each area. For example, Lip fillers have a different molecular weight (thickness) compared to fillers used in the nasolabial fold or fillers used for augmentation of the cheekbones and definition of the jawline, or Fillers used to reduce the dark circles around the eyes. Lip fillers and Tear-Trough fillers are usually softer, while Fillers used in the temples, zygomatic and jawline areas are harder.
All formulas used by Dr. Ektor are safe, very high quality and effective, hypoallergenic and FDA approved. ELLANSE®
Ellansé is a new type of dermal filler that can achieve instant volume and long-lasting results, using own-collagen stimulation; to deliver brighter skin with improved density, firmness and elasticity.
A fast-acting biostimulator, Ellanse is made of biomedical polycaprolactone microspheres housed in the gel. When injected into the skin, Ellanse filler becomes immediately bioresorbable. This means the compound will be replaced by the body’s own tissues and then reabsorbed into the body. With the gel being reabsorbed, neocollagensis takes place i.e., the production of new collagen. Ellanse dermal fillers are suitable for men and women who want to provide more volume to their skin, reduce the effects of ageing and look younger.
Ellanse is different than other dermal fillers because it’s made from microspheres which dissolve in a unique way. When it’s injected into the body, it goes through a reabsorption process where the compounds break down gradually. Throughout this process, the microspheres maintain their original volume until every molecule has been dissolved. This also applies to the longevity of the treatment, as results are dependent on the number of molecules within the spheres. So, the more molecules there are, the longer the results will last, typically upto two years.

RADIESSE®
Radiesse® is an injectable dermal filler that adds volume to the ceekbones, temples, nasolabial folds and chin, and it can also help smooth moderate to severe facial wrinkles, giving an immediate lifting and firming effect on the skin. Radiesse® is composed of small calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a soft gel matrix. Once injected, Radiesse® directly provides volume and lift needed to diminish the signs of ageing because of the calcium-based microspheres and gel that comprise the product. Both the gel and the microspheres are completely broken down by the body over time. Radiesse® is gently injected into the skin, usually in small amounts with a very fine needle. For additional treatment comfort, the doctor may apply a local anaesthetic to treated areas. This injection provides an immediate and visible effect. Additionally, Radiesse® stimulates your skin’s own regeneration abilities – new collagen is produced over the following weeks and months, making your skin stronger and more elastic. Radiesse® treatment results are long-lasting, but not permanent. Many patients come back to repeat treatments because they are very happy with them.
TREATMENT
An injection treatment with Face Fillers takes approximately 30 minutes in the office, is very safe, and almost painless by applying topical numbing cream before treatment. You do not need to limit your daily activity directly after the procedure.
The doctor will inject the product directly under the surface of the skin, the exact depth depending on the area of the face and the type of product, and you will notice almost immediate visible results, which will enhance and improve within the following few weeks.
